travel insurance?

ANNIE T asked:

My husband has been diagnosed with lung cancer. He has been given between 3 months and one year to live.

We thought we would go for a short cruise in the Med but the only company who will insure us wants between £1800 and £2000 for a week’s insurance.

Does anyone know of anyone who will insure us for a reasonable amount. We could afford up to £500 for insurance.

heavenlysin187 asked:

We are planning on going on the 12 day Hawaiian cruise leaving on the Carnival Spirit from Ensenada and ending in Honolulu in April of 2009. Anyone have any experience with this cruise? Any advice? Should I get a travel agent, or use the insurance for the trip? I went on a cruise once when I was 17 but I wasn’t involved in the planning of it. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!! Thanks!

I have a big problem((?

Written by admin on June 7, 2009 – 6:16 pm

man asked:

Me and my friends were planning to go on cruise (Miami, Belize, Honduras, Bahamas, Mexico, Miami). We have already booked the cruise and flight to Miami….Now, a week before the cruise we just discovered that non-residents of the USA need to have a visa to all visited countries…The second problem is that there is a chance that we won’t get our money back, because in the very beginning we did pay for the trip insurance.

So, my questions are:
- is there any way for us to go on cruise (to get visa quickly)?
- are we supposed to get our money back?
- was the cruise company agent supposed to ask if we are residents of the USA?

Thanks in advance, your help is really important for me!

Disney Deluxe Vacation Package?

Written by admin on June 7, 2009 – 5:58 pm

HotRod asked:

I have a booked vacation package in mid-September. The details are as follow: 2 adults and 1 child, 3-days DisneyWorld Resort and 4-days Bahamian Cruise, and we’re flying in from Los Angeles to Florida.

We will be staying at the Dolphin/Swan resort for the land portion for 3 nights, along with all-day Disney Park-Hopper tickets. Then sail off to the Bahamas inside the Disney Wonder in a Category 6 Deluxe Stateroom.

The package include ground transfers, and Travel Insurance.
The total price for the entire package is $4997.86.

Is this a good deal?

What happens to my cruise when I find out I am pregnant?

Written by admin on June 7, 2009 – 7:29 am

DEEDEE asked:

Hi.
I am overjoyed as I am pretty sure that I am finally pregnant. The trouble is that we have booked a Virgin cruise for October when I will be about 7 months pregnant and not allowed on the ship! They took a huge deposit off us - around £3000 to cover deposit for the ship, flights and hotel before take off and I am worried sick that we could lose all of this money. If so it doesn’t seem fair as I am happy to travel if the pregnancy is uncomplicated but they would not take me.
I can’t believe that I could be left high and dry for committing the crime of getting pregnant!
Would it just be a case of ‘tough’ and them running off with my cash?
I have looked at my holiday insurance (which is the deluxe version) and it excludes pregnancy!
It is really taking the shine off my good news!
Anyone know what happens?

Should I go traveling or get an apartment and settle down?

Written by admin on June 7, 2009 – 5:18 am

Miss MeMe - מימי asked:

So here’s the question. I have been traveling for a few years now, but I always come back to work in Alaska in the summer. I have the opportunity to go on a cruise to Asia and then I was thinking of heading down to Australia and hanging out there for the winter. My other option is to stay in Alaska, or any other city i chose, and get an apartment and a job. The advantage to the latter is stability - a home, job, insurance etc. So I really don’t know which one to chose!

Johnny asked:

I got the insurance with my travel agent. How much can I get back at this point? Can I get money back for my deposit and non-refundable flights since I got the insurance?

What should I plead on my speeding ticket?

Written by admin on June 5, 2009 – 10:09 pm

jj_doubleplay asked:

A cop was behind me while I was traveling in a 35 mph zone. I set my cruise control on 33 while the mph zone declined. I thought it changed to 30, but it was actually 25. The cop behind my pulls me over and asks me if I know how fast the zone is. I say 30 and he tells me its 25. He gives me a ticket for going 38 mph in a 25. 13 over.

I ask him if he had me on radar, he says no, but he was tracking me.

He also threatens to give me another ticket for not signaling while changing lanes, even though i did signal.

On my way home driving back on the same road, I see that the speed limit is 30. So i turn around and check what it is in the direction that I was traveling, and it was 25. Two different speed limits on the same road, depending on which way you go.

This is my 3rd ticket, and I have very few if any points left on my license.

I haven’t taken a driver’s class yet, but i want to keep my license. I don’t care about the money, i’m just concerned about the points and insurance policies.

What should I plead to keep my license?

Disney Cruise - Some More Questions?

Written by admin on June 5, 2009 – 6:13 pm

HotRod asked:

Hi guys… Just a couple more questions. 1. I was told that it’s Hurricane Season when I sail the Bahamas in mid September. Should I reconsider sailing to the Bahamas at a later date? 2. If I do decide to procede with my September departure, should I purchase the Travel Insurance for the trip that cost $229 extra?
