I have a big problem((?

man asked:

Me and my friends were planning to go on cruise (Miami, Belize, Honduras, Bahamas, Mexico, Miami). We have already booked the cruise and flight to Miami….Now, a week before the cruise we just discovered that non-residents of the USA need to have a visa to all visited countries…The second problem is that there is a chance that we won’t get our money back, because in the very beginning we did pay for the trip insurance.

So, my questions are:
- is there any way for us to go on cruise (to get visa quickly)?
- are we supposed to get our money back?
- was the cruise company agent supposed to ask if we are residents of the USA?

Thanks in advance, your help is really important for me!

I thought I answered this question already. try the American embassy in your country and explain the situation to them.
You might not get back your money because there is a penalty for cancelling.
She could have inform you but I am not so sure if she should have.

Just get on board and forget it. A cruise is done on a ship. You can be on the ship without a passport so long as you don’t get off the ship.
I traveled all over the world without a passport, when on the sea it isn’t as if there is a border and you get the custom on board to check everyone’s passport.
They check your passport when you get off the ship. I hope for you that you have booked your trip with just the ONE SHIP. This is what a ruise is anyway it isn’t as if you change ship is it?? If you then go on that ship and come back on that ship you are fine you can even go to China, just don’t get off the ship. It isn’t a big deal anyway it’s a CRUISE SHIP :) Hope I helped, do let me know!

as the other person said, will you be changing ship? If you stay on board you shouldn’t need any visa.
