I was hired on a private cruise owned by a famous Billionaire in Vegas,
and my job there would be everything from Waitress to Housekeeping or just like a Butler. This yatch will travel most on Europe and USA,well I dont have an idea yet how often we have the guests onboard. But the Boss offering me USD1000/month + free food and accomodation (ofcourse)+insurance and a roundtrip ticket to go backhome during vacation…dont you think that fair?
but I also earn that same amount now minus the free ticket & a long vacation and Im on a place w/c is 2hrs by plane away from my own country.(btw,Im Asian)
would it still be fair?

Sounds fair to me since basically all of your expenses are paid. You can always try it and see if you like it.

That sounds like a good opportunity if you are young and single with nothing to tie you to one area for awhile. It will give you the opportunity to do a little traveling with little to no expenses and possible save some money up. However $1000 a month is a fairly low salary. If you figure a 40 hour work week then you are getting $5.78 and hour. Yes, room and board are included but you will probably be working more than 40 hours a week also. I would want more information such as work hours, days off while in port and more specifics on required duties before accepting.

It sounds great if you have nothing else going on in your life. Think about it. in a year’s time you will only make 12,000. How much would you make if you were a butler stateside with live in accommodations
free food and insurance? That way you can resume your own life outside of the work hours. But if traveling and time away from the big city is what you want granted you get the opportunity to venture off the yacht on your own then this is a great opportunity for you. A bultler makes nothing less than 35,000 a year. Search the web for salary information. Good luck on your journey!

If you are a US citizen, a Nevada employer is required to pay you minimum wage and your employment taxes since you’ll be working on a ship/their vacation home. Minimum wage for Nevada is $6.85 an hour and at 40 hours a week, you’d make $1096 a month. If the employer pays for your health insurance, your hourly rate may drop to $5.30 per hour. If you are hired as a independent contractor, then YOU are responsible for your own taxes and that money will be coming out of your pocket, not the employers. Just make sure you get a contract before you set foot on the boat and sail away into the sunset.

The $1000/month is the equivalent of $5.76 per hour which isn’t much.
The free room and board sounds good - housing is one of your biggest expenses and simply saving on rent would add a lot. I once had a job in a hotel where I lived in the hotel, ate in the hotel, drank in the hotel and even got to drive the hotel car so I really had no expenses.
The downside however is you’re ALWAYS at work. This means people can find you to do work at odd hours. At the hotel I worked at they once sent someone out to the beach to find me because someone decided they needed something. Even if they SAY you’re hours are limited the reality is you’ll be available all the time. This is even more true being on a boat.
Other issues on a boat would be no matter how big it is you’ll be in close proximity to the same people almost all of the time. This can become very stressful even if they’re people you generally like and even more so if you develop a dislike for any of them (or they for you). Once I had to live and work with 2 coworkers 24×7 for 5 weeks. One of them was a good friend but by the end of the 5 weeks we were barely speaking to each other.
Also when you get to the ports of call do your duties allow YOU to actually disembark and visit them? Do they perhaps anchor off shore and leave you trapped on the boat simply because they don’t want you in the launch to shore? Even if you do get to shore how much cash will you actually have to do anything while there? Is he paying you before you go?
A final consideration might be “real” duties. You say “waitress to housekeeping” which makes it sound like he’s been a little vague about exact duties. What if his real purpose is to have you as a playmate? Is that something you’d be willing to do? Exactly what countries will you be going to and what are the laws there? It has occurred that U.S. women have been enticed into what appear to be exotic vacation style jobs only to end up being forced into sex with the rich guy that offered the job (or worse into prostitution and trapped in a foreign country).
The job might be legitimate and you might want to do it simply for the adventure but I’d strongly urge you to find out as much about this person and his yacht before you do. It would be ideal if you could find someone who had similar duties and ask them about it/
